Should see the two Trinidad goals

Mother of own goals from 15 yards into top corner and a 30 yard belter into the top corner from near sideline

    FT in the Honduras game

    Mexicans screwed the Yanks

    Panama qualify

    Honduras v Australia

    The massive thing is this

The Yanks are one of the best travelling groups for a WC
Obviously have cash and ability to travel. Throw in the Yank sponsors and FIFA's interest in developing the game in USA and this is a massive massive bad day

I can see 2001 happening all over again although legs are swapped.
We're gonna get more screwed 1st leg 3-0 then come home and
maybe not lose but not go through.
Difference is the class of 2001 were class and actually grew form that
experience in Montevideo. Most of this lot couldn't give a flying f***.

I was actually quite satiated football wise with this qualification phase
with witnessing Timmy's 50th goal in the flesh last night. Had that free kick gone
in I wouldn't have left that disappointed.

Russian bars will be devastated with no USA or Oz there....

Is that falcon an oggie? Clanger!

Get used to those crown scenes. Looks worse than Montevideo
and is from what I've heard. They don't play in the capital but in
San Pedro Sula - out in the boondocks.

    A few quick facts:-
San Pedro Sula is a city in the Sula Valley of northern Honduras. It’s known as one of the country’s main transport hubs.
The San Pedro Sula Anthropology and History Museum has exhibits on the region’s past, from pre-Columbian times to the present.
To the west, in the Merendón mountains, Cusuco National Park has trails through cloud forest rich in wildlife,
including many species of bats and the rare quetzal bird.

Montevideo is a shit tip but it ain't that bad a place safety wise

What happened in 2001 was our stupidity going out the front door of the airport and getting harassed by the local yobbos etc

In hindsight we should have stayed in Buenos Aires and jetted in the day before the game or took a ferry over

That was just Soccer Australia being naive dumb ****s

The Uruguayans although passionate about football ain't exactly violent aggressive ****s

This place we going though is a going to be interesting but we.at least not as ****ing naive as we were in the past

No denial on him going in the future

Reading between the lines he gone

He saying he focused on the Honduras games and qualifying for a WC

Acknowledged the rumours but does **** all to dispell them

Pretty poor media management creating a distraction like this etc

    Looks like a fun place

"San Pedro Sula was the "murder capital of the world"until early 2016 when Caracas, Venezuela surpassed its homicide rate.[11] Since the 2009 Honduran military coup "unemployment and underemployment rates have doubled while the number of people living in extreme poverty has skyrocketed."[4] In 2013, the city had 187 homicides per 100,000 residents.[12] This surpassed Ciudad Juarez, Mexico's rate of 148 killings per 100,000, or an average of about three homicides per day;[9] Ciudad Juarez had previously topped the list for three consecutive years.[13][14] Both cities are major operational and strategic distribution points in the illegal drug trade, particularly to the United States, and have significant gang activity.[7][13][15][16] In response, authorities launched Operation Lightning, saturating violence hotspots with police and soldiers.[9] Meanwhile, arms trafficking has flooded the country, with just under 70% of all firearms being illegal. 83% of homicides in the city involve firearms.[8]

According to the Los Angeles Times, "the homicide rate is stoked by the rivalry of the brutal street gangs, mostly descendants of gangs formed in Los Angeles and deported to Central America in the 1990s, including Mara Salvatrucha (MS) and the 18th Street gang. Their ranks are fed by the disastrous economy of Honduras, and emboldened more recently by alliances with Mexican drug traffickers moving cocaine through the country."[4]

Crime and economic stress have led to the migration of large numbers of unaccompanied minors to the US border. The latest data from the CBP shows San Pedro Sula as the major source for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) migrating from Honduras."

    This shit with Ange

Any chance it just a media beat up engineered on purpose
Until these ****s confirm 100% he coaching elsewhere come mid November he has actually managed to drag the focus off the players ineptness and has actually insulated them from the pressure of the big occasion coming there way in November

This just too convenient to be playing out this way if it not done on purpose

At the moment the entire focus is on Ange Postecoglou and the players are off scot free

As for any argument that Ange's future may be distracting the players. They playing for a trip to a World Cup I pretty certain they be able to focus on the task at hand v Honduras when it roles around

This just smells like a cooked up story that done to keep the siege mentality going
