Spoken to Brooke from the Jets and Mark from Waratah LAC this arvo. There will obviously be a heightened police & security presence for this game.
Police will be escorting the WSW march into the southern gates by 430pm.
Jets supporters are advised to delay leaving the Tenzo until 430pm, and to go around cricket field onto Turton Rd and into the western gates. Cops will also be stationed near southern gates on the Styx bridge.
Anyone wanting to be in Bay 60 MUST have a bay 60 ticket or membership for this game. Security will be refusing entry to anyone without a valid bay 60 ticket to keep out the WSW casuals.
Single game bay 60 tickets are available at the dedicated window to the right of the western stand turnstiles. Anyone with a non bay 60 membership can upgrade to a bay 60 ticket by visiting the Membership services window to the left of the western stand turnstiles.

Can you confirm whether this includes smart casual clothes as well? Are button-down shirts a no-no? Chinos? What about if I turn up in a pair of bright coloured ankle boots, can I be expected to be set upon by the WSW fashion police for that too?

17 options to whack Wanderers (no shit... this is the title)

Newcastle Jets Head Coach Phil Stubbins has today named an initial 17 player squad to take on Western Sydney Wanderers at Hunter Stadium on Saturday night.
All 16 of the players involved in the matchday squad for last round’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Brisbane Roar are again in line to feature, while youngster Nick Cowburn has been promoted to the extended squad.

New recruit Travis Cooper played for the Jets Youth team against Sydney FC Youth on Wednesday, and will no doubt be in better shape should he take to the pitch against Wanderers thanks to his exertions against the junior Sky Blues.

South Korean left back Lee Ki-je has looked sharp in training this week, and though he made his debut for the Club from the bench last round, the former Shimizu S-Pulse man may be in line to start.

Kick-off against Western Sydney Wanderers this Saturday afternoon is 5:00pm.

    Tickets can be purchased here.

Newcastle Jets Squad vs. Western Sydney Wanderers: 1. Jess VANSTRATTAN (Gk), 2. Scott NEVILLE, 3. Taylor REGAN, 5. Ben KANTAROVSKI, 8. Zenon CARAVELLA, 10. Travis COOPER, 11. Andrew HOOLE, 12. Anway, only registered to say that I along with most wsw and rbb members love the trip up to newcastle. The tunnel going into your stadium is epic, always a highlight.

These top-of-the-table clashes are always huge games so I expect a high quality game

We're going to win the league!

As long as you only watch half the field you might be ok.

Also, if any mongs feel like starting a barney with innocent bystanders can you point them in the direction of Phil Stubbins and do all of us a ****ing favour.

    Ta.

Yes he has, he was there at the last game along with a bunch of us that were attacked by said "fashion police" because of what people were wearing. Apparently wearing anything other than colors means you are keen for a carpark scrap over banners

I could make it clear to you that I meant the noise that we produce going through said tunnel, but you already know that.

I have never, and will never pick a fight with an opposition fan, and the people who did who are allegedly 'wsw casual' were just dickheads not wsw-specific dickheads. Newy's got em too.

Maybe you should put the same amount of energy you expend criticising our active group into creating one of your own.
