Must be in such horrific condition post Nitro Circus that they don't care about kids on it any more.

Could well be. Asian cup cash cow has passed through town.
If pitch is damaged from the nitro show at yoeast we'd only be damaging an already damaged pitch.

The scg allow it to happen so a few hundred kids in sneakers mustn't pose too big a threat.

I think it's great idea tbh, the kids will love it.
Shit, I still ember getting out onto the scg at a swans game, if done regularly it could be a draw card for kids, and might help get future fans hooked.

My five year old got her kindergarten membership this afternoon and beside herself about the chance to go onto the ground.

A few more interesting match facts have come to my attention this week

    • In the 30 matches between the two teams, there has only been 3 occasions where both teams have scored in the first half.

    • When playing at home, the Jets have gone on to defeat Adelaide every time when leading at half time.

    • Daniel Mullen will become the 10th player to captain the team at home against Adelaide.

    • There has only ever been two penalties awarded at Hunter Stadium in this fixture. Both were awarded in the same match back in Season 2 and were taken by Carl Veart. Despite scoring the first in the 37th minute to peg back Vaughn Coveny’s 26th minute opener, Veart had the chance to seal all 3 points in the 87th for Adelaide but blasted over the bar of goal keeper Ben Kennedy. Not 3 minutes later, Nick Carle would run the length of the field and shoot from outside the box with the outside of his foot to steal all 3 points for Newcastle and give new coach Gary Van Egmond his third consecutive win after taking over as head coach from Nick Theodorakopoulos. This was also the night the stadium was treated to a visit from injured Socceroo and Liverpool winger Harry Kewell prior to kick off.

    • The next Jets goal will be the 300th for the club in the A-League.

We may have to wait until next season to see this based on our opposition in the last 5 games

Nuh - Griff provided the "assist".

A great goal that seems to be forgotten by Fox in its 10 best A-League goals, replaced by 6 Carlos goals, 2 ADP goals, Flores and Mifsud.
