A new owner coming in and using the newly implemented cap exemptions would make a hell of a difference

What do the cap exemptions entail?

I assume they'd let us move either of the two BK's out of the cap, but what else?

Yeah I think it would be up to 200k for each of home grown and long service.

    That's pretty good tbh.

Move both BK's out from under the cap,
Use the space made with that and what's still not spent to get a decent #9.

I reckon Michael bridges would happily sign on for 750K

Isnt it $200k in total? Not for each player?

Total yeah but they are different things... One is the local junior thing, the other is long term players.

200k in total or for each category?

gives us the ability to move both players wages out from under the cap, and throw more at a quality 9.
    Must be what they're planning.

Wish they would hurry up and announce the new owners (assuming the last six months haven't been all smoke and mirrors) so we can start badgering someone specific to spend their cash on our club.

    200k each.

    · A Loyalty Player allowance has been included to give clubs a sliding scale of Salary Cap relief for players who have played between 5-10 years at the club. The total amount that can be spent on Loyalty Players is $200,000 outside the Salary Cap.
    · The existing Home Grown Player allowance outside the Salary Cap has lifted from $150,000 to $200,000. Each Club can include three players who started their careers with the Club, either through the Youth System of the Hyundai A-League squa

Also there is the over-22yo rookie exemption meaning we could sign someone from the npl over 22 that hasn't been in the a-league for 2 yrs. if we used it when the new owners arrives it seems it would be used on Alex smith who is now naturalised and impressed on triall.
Sydney just used it to sign Alex Mullen, Daniels cousin.

Actually... I've done some analysis (not really, just a quick look) and they rate the coastie scum worse than ours. We have THREE silver players (Leaky G, Carney and Boogaard) and they only have the one (Ferreira) whilst we are both average of 60.
