No Jean Paul de Marigny, considering he resigned from Victory and his name was mentioned in the Herald yesterday, I would put him as one of the favourites.

Voted for Jones - but none of the options fill me with confidence. I do like how we played much better after Jones came on board last season, and also his pivotal role in the Championship season. That is why he receives my vote

    Papas numero uno.

    2nd tier: Milicic, Rudan, Mulvey

    3rd tier: Okon, Vidmar

    4th tier: Zane, Aloisi, Jones

And then when every other human being is dead on the planet, including our entire team of players, Stubbins would probably be ok for the job.

Whats the deal with the love for Papas around here? Is he really proven or is it just some fantasy people have on here that he will be some kind of undiscovered genius.
I just don't know a lot about him other than that a lot on here seem to think he is the special one

    This is his coaching history.....

    2010–2011 Oakleigh Cannons
    2010–2011 Australia U17 (assistant)
    2011–2012 Newcastle Jets (assistant)
    2012 India U23
    2012–2013 Pailan Arrows
    2013–2015 Dempo
    2014 FC Goa (Assistant)

Seriously guys pushing for Papas I think you are all in some fantasy land if you think this is the coach to take over from Stubbins.....still relatively inexperienced and untried at a decent level. Maybe Assistant but not head coach.

JP de Marigny on the other hand has been around for a lot longer and been involved with winning titles at Sydney United (NSW NPL) and of course most recently with Victory.....

    2003–04 Marconi Stallions
    2005–06 Newcastle Jets (Asst.)
    2006 Sydney United FC
    2007 NSWIS
    2007 Australian Under-17 Joeys
    2010–2013 Sydney United FC
    2013–2013 Marconi Stallions
    2013– Melbourne Victory (Asst.)

Be careful what you wish for!

Be down to he fact Pappas plays good football and has done the hard yards. He has wanted to be a football coach and has had no assistance from the establishment who basically laughed in his face when he rocked up at he AIS wanting a gig.

The bloke can coach and although being a bit left field appeals to a fantasy.

He may not have the runs on the board others have had but opportunity has not ben handed to him on a plate like others

As much as I would prefer a coach with A-League experience it worked for GVE in 07 and 08....So it's not a must I guess and they all have to have a start at one stage..

Difference with Muppet and Pappas is even if Pappas got us a wooden spoon we would do it in some style trying to play good football.

Muppet on the other hand has never played exciting football
