I think its obvious, if you want long term stability and success you have to build it right.
If you want short term, throw stupid amounts of cash and see it implode in a few years.

Yes, I think it's more a case of getting the structure and foundations right behind the scenes first...getting the club up to the level of most of the other clubs in the A League first ie physios, strength/conditioning coaches, staff in general.
Compare Tinkler starting off with the gimmicky Beckham/La Galaxy thing....yeah it was a great night and all that but where did the club end up under him a few years down the track because we were still basically in a semi-professional set-up!
Need to find a balance though, one ot two name players (not necessarily marquees) would give fans a but of a buzz and hope that hey we can improve on last seasons 8th spot and give the top 6 a real challenge.
