remember working on the BGB before the big day at a school out in Western Sydney after it was sewn in Newy.
We knocked that tifo up in a couple of days - don't know how we managed it tbh

Couldn't get tickets. Condemned to the TV. Was able to watch Griff score again and again and again.

Will never forget the stunned silence from the Gypo fans when that magnificient golden tifo was unveiled and 20,000 Novocastrians erupted with "Newcastle Newcastle". In contrast I think they had some pathetic banner and before a ball had been kicked psychologically we were already 1-0 up!!!

Was with the family and (missus and the kids) and making our way back to our bus after the game was bumping into old work-mates, people I hadn't seen in years, legend Andy Roberts, outside the stadium.

Was my daughter's 9th birthday that day too! Will never forget the whole bus singing "Happy birthday" to her on the way back to Newcastle.

Ball clearly deflects off second gyppo from left's hand (Jedinak? can't remember) onto Jimmy and ref doesn't call free kick, only sends Fukkoffvic off, shoulda been half their STD riddled scumsford team - f'n cheating gyppo ref...
Life isn't the same without Con... but it can only improve without Tinks...
