Whilst I probably agree with what Dura was saying to Besart, Dura had no right being where he was. It was a foul on Besart, it was soft however Sigmund had his arms up and they made contact with Berisha's Head.
Yes he carried on like a pork chop afterwards but... Dura had no right being where he was, the bloke is receiving treatment. From my knowledge Dura isn't trained in medical treatment so he has no right to be there.

Honestly though...forget about promos, marquees, active support, finances, grass roots etc.
The biggest threat to the A-League right now is the quality of the officials. There is a controversial, match changing decision almost weekly.
I have never seen it this bad in 35 years of national competition. There needs to be a serious review when the season ends.
And maybe bring out more Jap refs who prefer the game to flow rather than blow their whistle every two minutes.

This and the worst offenders have been the newly created full timers.

Being that the game and it's rules are universal why limit ourselves to Japan???

Why not recruit from anywhere on the planet

Refereeing can't be the best paying gig anyway particularly outside the big Euro Leagues. Salary wise the HAL should be competitive to officials elsewhere on the planet.

Why not identify some of these and make them offers??

Import some decent refs and force the locals to improve

    Not just stop at refs

The ****wits with the flags ain't much better either.

Blokes in the NPL do much better than HAL linesman FFS

Fair point Member...the Japanese imports this season were a breath of fresh air, why stop there.
Some good refs all over Asia who would appreciate coming here for experience and coin.
The locals have blown their big chance and they should all be out back on part time as they seem to have got lazy.

There are plenty of countries where the economy situation is worse than ours

    Take Greece as an example.

If there are any ref over there better than the likes of Beath Williams and co I am sure they jump at the chance to come here and ref and get a good pay compared to what they would be getting at home

and I haven't seen any football this weekend but is there a specific incident that has everyone riled up again or are we just maintaining the rage?

Berisha got sent for kicking Durante

    Berisha on the ground injured

    Legit red no dispute there

The refs handling of the entire situation though is the issue

Castro all quality, what a finish!

He is a great example of why we need to give foreign players time to adjust to the A-league. He was ordinary in a poor team for the first 6-8 weeks. Now, he is in the top 2-3 players in the comp easy. A lot would say the best.

how enjoyable was the perth v city game compared to our horrible game.

I still think city are favourites to win the title and had an off night.
