    Just because they are under contract means **** all

    Just as it did for Pepper at Wankers FC
    Your opinion Member, but seriously how can you even contemplate bracketing BK in with Brennan and Pavicevic?
    He's been with the club since day one and been our No 1 keeper at certain times over 11 seasons, won a player of the year award, surely he deserves a bit of respect....not to be dumped amongst a couple of young players who have played about a dozen games between them.

    Yep some will do that.

    A competent club though finds them a new gig elsewhere

    A competent club isolates them in such a way they want to go.

    They don't leave them hanging around for a year or two taking their pay check every week

    Don't need to go to the extent Muppet and Tinkler done with Carney Griff Kew and co but that is still a good example.

    The club put them in a position the players stood their ground before succumbing and walking away to go somewhere new.
    (Just took longer with Carney)

    You don't need to be as malicious as what Muppet and Tinkler were but you can use methods to isolate the player that he walks

    A competent club does this and just doesn't keep dead wood to honour contracts

    They move them on and it a win win for both sides

    High time out club showed the nous and shipped off the dead wood

    Loyalty or future prosperity??

    I will call a spade a spade and say we will not have a great side with BK in the No1 a spot. He has been here long enough and not cemented his spot.

    Time to draw a line in the sand and move on

    Being loyal to your players is a noble idea but their comes a time when the club has to be hard nosed and make decisions that are best for them and loyalty can go out the window.

    Loyalty causes problems eventually. Look at Spain in the WC and Euros

    The Spanish FA stayed loyal to Del Bosque due to past success. He stayed loyal to his players and didn't regenerate the squad. Despite having the talent they didn't perform well enough at the tournaments and under achieved.

    Loyalty to blame

    BK proved his worth with two players player of the season awards the seasons before Birraz arrived then unfortunately Birraz was just a better keeper but that doesnt change the fact that BK is good and has done a good job when filling in for Birraz

    In the eyes of some on here...

    Griff = Harry Potter
    BK = Voldemort

    The truth is somewhere in the middle.

    So your selling point for new players to the club is that as well as bad players, no name coach, shit fans, shit beer and shit kickoff times with no exposure, you wanna let them know that regardless what we say we'll pay you that it's probably all bullshit and we'll **** you off at the first chance.

    Yeah I can totally see why big name players would want to be part of that.

    Pussies like Cahill and Lustica just aren't up to the challenge I guess.

    I'm talking about the good Members idea of utopia which (from what I can gather) is on a planet far far away.

    The only reason Pepper has left the Wanderers is that he is going to Brisbane.

    That's fortunate for him, but he must be devastated.
