Will all be moot when the new Maitland Sportsground is finished.

When funding was announced late last year, council said that the 1100 seat stand would make it "capable of hosting A-League soccer games"!

That said, what about Cessnock - Asian Cup stuff was brilliant out there and we had a preseason game against Adelaide a few years ago.

Doing a bit of research to chat with Jaffas for the podcast tonight. They have a tough draw against Devonport!

They're top of the NPL Tasmania and have lost once all season at home. They've only conceded 6 goals at home all season and have scored 16-0 in their last 4 matches!!

While it's no indication of the league's strength, there is no doubting they are on form.

    Edgeworth beat FNQ 3-0
Strikers beat some Darwin pub team 6-0
Humce City beat Marconi on pens. 0-0 FT, 1-1 end of ET. Pav ****ed the first penalty by a ****ing huge margin but also gave Marconi the lead with a fantastic strike.

Edgy to beat Jets in the round of 16 provided Jets make it through. That'd be a larrff

Shit keeping? So now keepers need to stay on their line in case they get chopped from 70m?

He's out of his box to close the space between his fence and himself, to stop Blacktown playing a ball over the top. It's incredibly hard to judge the flight of the ball from that distance, and it looks to be off target tbh, until it spins off the fake grass.

Take nothing away form the goal by claiming its shit keeping.

Of course he is out of his box to close the space but he's either far too far out or his reaction time was awful. No denying it's a great hit but you can't defend being beaten from 70m.

The keeping was abominable. Keepers should read either outcome of long ball or long shot. The execution and quick thinking from the scorer was good.
