Listen to the podcast interview we did with him. McKinna said he and Jones are good mates.

It was pretty clear. I'm guessing you watched a different story. My apologies, it was a voiceover during the story and not out of McKinna's mouth. But at 30 seconds, "Ledman Group wanted new coaches, but the CEO pushed for Miller to be retained."

Sorry I can't link it, but it's the article that starts with all the facebook messages flashing up on the screen.

Jones was the Technical Director of the Central Coast Mariners Academy and the Head Coach of their New South Wales Premier League team, whilst he has also been an Assistant Coach with Perth Glory, Malaysian Premier League’s Sabah FC, and Chinese Super League’s Chongqing Lifan.

Jones currently holds an FFA ‘A Licence’, is completing his FFA PRO Licence, is a certified Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Elite Conditioning Instructor, and is one of only twelve FIFA Fitness Instructors, which has allowed him to be an Instructor at a number of FIFA Football Fitness courses in Bahrain, North Korea, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.

Is Jones just being bigged up by Val because he is currently in Adelaide and has been for 8 months?

Ahhh yes no I did hear that. They seem resigned to signing local due to the short time before the season starts.

Did Con actually promise Jones the Managers role after GVE or did Jones just expect he would get it?

Mmmm well Lawrie would want to be particularly careful as this could all end in tears.

This is not the words of a CEO following the instruction of his employer. I will be surprised if he sees out the week

You must have serious vision issues (cue Cahill $$$$$$$$$$$$$) if you think the footage of the FK I was talking about wasn't up to scratch....

im a supporter of Mark Jones, if it was to be him. The guy is very knowledgeable when it comes to football, he was the brains behind our successful campaign.

as much as it isnt such a good thing to get along too well with the players, i believe he will be the best man to rally everyone together especially after the events that have taken place

I won't go in to my reasons on this particular subject on a public forum.
All I will say, is that we don't want a bloke like him being anywhere near our club..

The players supported Miller. There was no division in the playing group

that being the reason why Jonesy would be good. As if it was some unknown there is every chance that there be some disharmony as many would be still peeved miller was shown the door.

75% (rough guess) of the players won't have any connection to Jones. May as well be some unknown at this stage
