A name I saw someone mention was Ricki Herbert. What do people think about that?

I wouldn't be disappointed with his appointment. I think we can achieve higher, but it isn't terrible.

Putting aside the gentle, good-natured, anti-GVE banter in this place, I understand that Gary and Luca got their last badges together and get on well. A harmonious team ... for once.

Awful football and signs useless players. We already had GVE. Would avoid.

Lawrie's statement that he will make a recommendation to the owners on the new coach, but doubts they will listen is pretty damning. It's clear Lawrie didn't want Miller sacked imo. If that's the case surely his position is untenable.

Yeah if that's the case surely he'll be gone by match day 1

Lawrie replies on Twitter last night to some random denying he stabbed Miller in the back.

This is not the words of a CEO following the instruction of his employer. I will be surprised if he sees out the week

Possible that his recommendation is Scott Miller - and pushing for a back down?

Not only would Lawrie be unable to stay on, but surely Trani will be seen as the babykiller and cop it from Sunday onwards - he can't stay either.

I think Ledman have just been looking for the slightest reason to change coach.

I would not be upset by that. Give the locals a chance. (Also sign up Griff as Striker coach)

Not backing the owner on this will see him sacked if i know anything... it's a shame because he seems to be the only one who could possibly stabilise the rocking boat that our new chinese overlords seem to unwittingly want to sink.

Maybe he just wants out anyway and is trying to line up a contract pay out rather than having to walk away with nothing.

Can you imagine Pappas/Mori/Mulvey discussing with McKinna the existing staff on their appointment

"This is your assistant, Luch Trani. He is very experienced, has some great ideas, just don't look him in the eye and best to let him do his thing. Everything will be fine. Has some great references.....although a little dated....but still did I mention his experience?"
