31 fouls for 8 cards last week. And being the same ref kinda proves my point - he was probably spoken to and hence tried to tone it down last night, where he issued 4 cards for 36 fouls. I know there isn't a set fouls-cards ratio but being spoken to is the only reason I can explain such a massive inconsistency from the same ref in consecutive weeks.

City will put 8 past us, with 80% possession.

They literally just ****ed Victory back to primary school.

Jap #8 got a goal and assist, yet Brad Smif got Fox Sports MOM.

Hmmmm...makes me wonder are we witnessing the beginning or the firm
establishment of the great divide that is forming in the A-League.
I also wonder if Mr Lee is watching other clubs with any interest to see who
and what his competitive market is.

    City... wow!
One of the best performances I've seen in A-League history. Their football was quality and game plan smashed Victory. Biggest question is, can they repeat that for most of the year? If they can, no one will go close. Sydney looking the only other team likely to challenge.

Whilst City were good, Victory were very poor.

Rojas and Khalfallah were nonexistent in defense. The Victory defense got over run and they couldn't handle the press from City, the front 4 for Victory were terrible in holding possession which only put more pressure on their defense.
Muscat was found out last night, he inherited a set up team from Ange with a great plan A. But when plan A doesn't work Muscat is shown to be out of his depth.

At first I thought cahill's goal was pretty good but a bit arsey, but the end on shot shows just how good a shot it was. Outstanding!

+1... plus I'd say Khalfallah was simply non-existent the whole match.

This is a very good City team and on paper it looks like they'll exceed last year's effort comfortably. I thought losing Mooy & Novillo would be a blow but they simply replaced them with Cahill, Colazo, Brandon & Brattan which is somewhat terrifying. I'll wait another month before declaring them title favourites, but along with Sydney, they'd be early frontrunners. Not just on current form, but also due to how unimpressive Adelaide, WSW and Victory have been so far. I'm hoping I can add Brisbane to that list tonight.
