Swapping the order of extra time and penalties will increase goals and reduce personal trauma.
    Why is it a tragedy??

    Take last Sunday's game

Neither tards or Smurfs done enough to win the game in normal time

They never done enough in extra time either

    **** em

    Pens it is.

They both chose the negative philosophy to avoid losing first

Why is it a problem if it comes down to luck??
Arnold and co and Muscat and co chose that option

    So where the problem??

Kanta remains in the frame because of the home grown player salary cap exemptions and because we cant keep Poljak in a visa spot.
He hasnt been signed yet, hes just not been given the farewell handshake.
Although that article says we are also chasing Milligan, if we land him I wouldnt expect Kanta to stay either.

Kanta is absolute trash. Blows my mind we would consider keeping him. I don't care about exemptions - no use having a player that is not A-league standard.

So if we were to land Milligan, where would you's all like to see him play? MC, DM or DC?

Hi Member! Perhaps read the article?

Because the shift from open play to shoot-out means it's no longer "a team contest". That is, our special game changes fundamentally, from being a team sport to an individual sport, to an extent.

Also, shoot-outs put "extreme pressure on individual penalty takers, who may suffer major psychological trauma if they miss".

Yes. That's a result of loss aversion. The suggested change would "increase the likelihood of a goal in extra time by 45 to 60 per cent. It "would therefore reduce the proportion of tedious games with scoreless extra time by half, from 50 to 25 per cent."

The "luck" of the shoot-out isn't the problem. See above.

There's no problem that must be fixed. But this is a clever way to improve the game.

There is zero chance we are landing Milligan.

He is on massive petrodollar contract right now at Baniyas, which would mean surely only a marquee contract would bring him home. And Merrick is on record today as saying he wants a marquee #10, as opposed to unknown sources with this mystery list.

IMO we will probably sign 1 marquee player, a couple of experienced heads and some more up and comers.

On petro$$$ yeah but his club finished last hence relegated.... if he wants to go to Russia then playing next year in UAE second division might not be a very good idea....
