Two legged football for the most part is usually very boring affairs

Sure every now and then you get a belter of a two legged tie but most of the time it pretty cagey

Why we can't go back to one legged affairs where it either always sudden death or 1v2 winner to gf and loser play winner of 3 v 4 etc

Knockout football where it decided on the day is exciting

Sure give the higher ranked team home ground advantage of your like

But let's get back to what makes finals football exciting the brutal finality it offers

Maybe. I dont think there would be a great deal of difference. I think over the two legs its about as fair as its going to get.

Magic vs Edgeworth 2nd leg was pretty damn exciting. Extra time, penalty shootout and then some form of heated discussion after the match with the details yet to be clearly written. Pretty exciting day IMO.

some exciting second legs in the champions league
    Bayern Munich 4-2 Juventus — 2015-16 — Last-16 second leg (agg 6-4)
    Barcelona 2-2 Chelsea — 2011-12 — Semi-final second leg (agg 2-3)
    Borussia Dortmund 3-2 Malaga — 2012-13 — Quarter-final second leg (agg 3-2)
Manchester United 4-3 Real Madrid — 2002-03 — Quarter-final second leg (agg 5-6) (doesn't seem like it was that long ago)
    Monaco 3-1 Real Madrid — 2003-04 — Quarter-final second leg (agg 5-5)
Deportivo La Coruna 4-0 AC Milan — 2003-04 — Quarter-final 2nd leg (agg 5-4) (pirlo hinted that Deportivo could have taken drugs for the match lol)
Barcelona 6-1 Paris Saint Germain — 2016-17 — Last-16 second leg (agg 6-5) (This was crazy)

Some pretty top tier matches in the second leg.

I think you get some boring matches when first plays forth, there is usually a clear difference between the two teams.

You forgot one of the most exciting in recent times, Liverpool and Dortmund in 2016 Europa quarter final. That Anfield second leg was insane!

Proves that 1st legs are a waste. Doesnt really matter where they finish.

Tournament football is great cause every game is one off for pts or Knockout.

LOL surely this a tongue in cheek comment?

Comebacks are some of the best parts of all sports. The most memorable, the most exciting. Without the first leg, there is no chance for the come from behind victory.

Comebacks are more memorable when they occur in the same game

Liverpool and Man U in UCL Final spring to mind
Miracle of Brisvegas in the HAL
    Socceroos v Japan in Kaiserslautern

    They comebacks

Perhaps you're right. My opinion doesn't agree with you. I believe the current format is fair and exciting. I think it's a win win situation for the most part as it stands.

    your joking

1 game results have that excitement nearly every time. How can you not understand this.

Seems only the players like 2 legs cause the 1 offs are too much pressure and tears fall too often.

win both and you're the best

Doesn't work for me that way personally. The complexities of home and away add to the excitement for me.

Form over the year would suggest
    1st Edgeworth
    20s Olympic
    18s Olympic

I think the experience of the Griffith brothers and Jobe on hunter stadium pitch will be massive.

    18s 4-0 Olympic

    McBreen can't coach
GVE going to be a huge loss based on that

All the possession all the field position for the EJets

But weak as piss in both boxes

    20s Maitland 1-0

Scored a scrappy goal and dig in and defended hard

Olympic hit the woodwork 3 times twice in the last 10 mins the crossbar denied them
