It all depends what we see the NPL as. Is it a breeding ground for potential a league players. Or is it a showcase competition of our region that if the timing is right, somebody will come through and get picked up. The crux is any player that is deemed to have quality is picked up very early on. And it's hard for the other late bloomers if you will, to get picked up.

Does anyone know how NSPNPL and VNPL do their comps? I'm assuming the age is standardised as per NPL guidelines but do they have a points system?

The clubs can only develop players for their own first grade, that has to be their focus and priority

And I believe this is what they do, if in the mean time a player shows greater potential than that is what Jets Youth is about

Yes I agree that current set up is definitely more orientated to young bloomers.
Interesting comment on fox commentary last Wednesday night, talking about Aidan Brice, called him a diamond in the rough, but also inferred it would be hard to be picked up by an A League club because he hasn't had exposed to the youth development programs

NSW PL did last season whether that still in effect I not 100% though I do recall hearing they were going to scrap it this season

Sluggish, cmon mate watched the game and Adamstown pumped them off the park. Could have easily been 6 nil if the long haired winger from Adamstown could shoot.

Hoole Foteff Virgili and Paul

For some reason they thought the slowness of Ben Martin would be of use and pushed Clarke back into the mids

Think admin needs to jump in and stop the defaming of people on here, not just the recent post, but also some other recent namings, at the end of the day, all committees and executives are doing what they think is best for the club.

We at Azzurri are very pleased to welcome Jim and Matt to the club, please refrain from defaming comments.

Im always up for a bit of fun and sledging, but the above post goes way beyond what should be allowed on a forum.
