Pretty clear in rules, and understandably so. No away goals in extra time. Probably one of the few rules that make sense given how poorly thought out some others are.
Why play extra time if away goals don't count ?
That is a bit harsh for magic but there is always next year

That's not right. Magic needed to score 2 as edgeworth scored in extra time making it 2-1. If edgy hadn't scored then 1 goal for magic would've been enough
That's right. If Edgy lead by 1 why shouldn't Magic need 2 to win and 1 to draw. Both teams had the same home and away period. In extra time every thing starts again. They don't change grounds at halftime to share the home and away advantage. I suppose you want penalties to be on home and away rule as well.
Reason you have away goals is to settle it before penalties
If your happy to eliminate a side for the season based on away goals after 90 mins then you should also be playing it in Extra time just as it done in the UCL and WCQ ties
If you going to have away goals play it this way. If not go back to one legged affairs
So team playing 2nd leg away always has advantage!! In this case it also is the team that is lower on the table. So after both teams have had same time frame and rules applied over 2 x 90 minute games, one team can win in extra time without scoring more goals. You should be on committe at CCB and board of Northern with that logic!
What is the argument? both teams knew the rules. It is not as though the rules were made up on the night.
Champions League interpretation of the away goal rule in extra time is heavily criticised but has some bearing given the 2 matches are usually played in different cities or countries where crowd support etc. can be a distinct advantage. Not the case in local comps.
