reserve grade 4-0 Maitland one of the worse performances of Maitland reserves all year but still got the win
First grade 10 -0 Maitland. by the looks of it Medowie had a few players out across both grades

going on recent run of forms that's why they have been tipped like that
it will be interesting to see if either team does go undefeated
no team has really come close to azzurri with scores

Id say there are a few teams struggling for numbers, so first grade players might be playing in part two games. In that sense some clubs reserve grade side will prosper but their first grade sides struggle a bit.
This was the case with raaf last year.
Possibly the case with bolwarra atm? Possibly medowie and Mayfield? Maitland jnrs only had 18-19 yesterday so they had a few guys play in reserves that possibly dont normally. Maitland seniors have probably had this problem all year, but given their depth it hasn't appeared an issue.
Can confirm that it was 2 different teams for firsts / seconds. Old man is involved with the ID Team.

first grade was a tail of two halfs Edgeworth the deserved winners
reserve grade was a good physical game Maitland unlucky to concede late and not put away a lot more of there chances but that's football

i just noticed they forfeited . that's why i tipped them to win Reserves because they have been struggling for numbers recent weeks with few first playing ressies
We had word on Monday that medowie forfeited.
Its not ideal for the competition at all, Not many like playing two games and its not a sustainable practice. I guess they feel with a full squad they can take the points in first grade? Going forward I hope they can retain players for next season. The competition cant afford to loose more teams.
