As mascot of the Mighty Bears I thought it would be great to post a superb open letter from our departing player Mick Holt that he has posted on our club website.
The letter shows the wonderful spirit that exists at the Bears.
A big thankyou from all of us for all the effort and hard work Mick Holt has put in over the years at the club and we wish him every success in his new venture over the other side of the country in WA.

Jets 2 vs Charlestown 3.
Jets went into half-time with a 1-0 lead and scored early in the second half.
After being on the backfoot for 60 mins or so Charlestown managed to hack and slash their way back into the game with three 2nd half goals.
It wasn't pretty.

West Wallsend Vs lakes next weekend should be a cracker. Win for westy and they avoid relegation.
southy's display against westy was absolutely appauling, was a deadset embarrasment.
So anybody have any idea how the finals series works as far as grounds goes? With it being once off games this year, will it be on a neutral grounds, t? Is Grand Final still at Wanderers? Heard it was going to be at No. 2 Sportsground but that may have been 2013.
Week 1: 1st rest, 2nd v 3rd (G1), 4th v 5th (G2)
Week 2: 1 v Winner of G1 (S1) and loser of G1 plays winner of G2 (S2), Loser of G2 eliminated
Week 3: Winner of S1 to Grand Final. Loser of S1 vs Winner of S2 (F1). Loser of S2 eliminated
Week 4: Winner of S1 v Winner of F1 in the Grand Final.

I thought you had to forfeit your lowest team that means 17's and 19's would have forfeit as well.
I agree with Swanky. I thought you were obliged to play players up. Forfeit lower grades. E.g. you can't forfeit first grade and play 17, 19s and 23s.
I heard their 23s forfeited 2 weeks ago though. Not sure what truth there was behind it.
i hope they do, saves me playing 2 games tomorrow!

yeah this wasn't a forfeit. apparantly ground was deemed too wet to play 4 grades so 23s was called off...strange as most clubs would call off 17s first
