    Chesterfield FC

I think from memory ther was another Chesterfield supporter on the old foz so if they are still here they may be pleased to know that the Spirerites beat Derby County last night 3 - 1. Not bad for a League 2 team.

Yesterday Chesterfield FC were knocked out of the first round of the League Cup to Tranmere 2-1. (I think this makes 12 years in a row.) Tranmere play Villa in the next round. League 2 starts in 4 days.

And if anyone was wondering what has happen to former Mudgee boy Aaron Downs, (I hear you ask),well after 8 years with the Spireites he has moved to L2 club Torquey on a one year deal.

Derby had a 5 all draw against Scumthorp (Scumthorp scored 2 goals in the 90th minute the 5th a penalty) and ended up losing 7-6 in a pen shoot out.

Chesterfield beat Derby in a preseason game, but to be fair with Derby they did have 3-4 trialist playing.

    Since Sunday 19th
The Spireites lost to AFC Wimbledon 1 - 0
    And drew with Rochdale 1 - 1 with a 94th minute leveler.
