    2017/18 Away Days

The usual discussions in here on what away trips you're planning on attending, organisation and other such stuff

To kick it all off: Tour of Duty announced for the away game in Brisbane against the Roar on 24/2/18. 10yr anniversary celebrations? Yes thanks.
    Details here: http://www.newcastlefootball.net/hom...r-rd21-240218/

Will also be attending our away game against Phoenix in Auckland

I will attend the M1 Pacific Motorway derby against our rivals for sixth spot, the Mariners. I am deeply nervous about the prospects of facing a Hoole-Kennedy combo.

Yet to do a perth away game and I think this season might be the best time to do it as its a Saturday game and we only play them once away.

How many days would you need to go there for? Is there many interesting places and things to see?

Lived there for 3 years. Not much worth seeing to be honest. Brisbane hotel is a good pre/post-match venue though

Really? I've been there twice and nothing really struck me as expensive. All comparable to newy.

Stay at Mike Cockerill's time share.

Check out Tara Rushton's old haunts.

Get a piece of the WACA pitch before they rip it up.

I think he was referring to actually getting there and back? Could be wrong though.

The staples are more expensive there (milk, bread etc.) and beer is also, but that's more to do with the zero pokies to prop up their income

Flights expensive, accommodation expensive, haven't been there so can't comment on pricing of beers & chicken parmas.
