What were people's thoughts on the game yesterday?

An interesting formation from Deans (3-4-2-1) which I felt really stifled the influence of Gilliland.

Hopefully the goal scoring woes of previous seasons don't continue, but we really didn't create many clear chances.

But a win is a win. Take that for a start. And there was a terrific crowd too.

Thought it wasn’t bad viewing. I watched a women’s World Cup a few years ago and it was almost laughable how bad it was to watch. Their touch, tactics and vision has improved a lot. Still can’t resist a long ball over the top. Wanderers pretty much we’re hitting that ball all game to their quick striker.

Van Egmond...can tell she’s played over in Europe. She is great.

hope they've taught her over there how to head the ball by the time she gets back, couldn't do it to save her own life last season...

can we start a Deans Out thread perhaps? wasn't impressed he got rid of Hoy this season when she looked like a handy player from the couple games I saw them play before the lads last season, has brought in Stengel who is nowhere as mobile, EVE is a class above the others I agree though, best vision on the park, and even did a back heel pass at one point that got a cheer from the stands

I thought it was Hoy's call not to return?

Have a listen to the commentator here when the Jets score the 2nd goal.
Am I hearing things"? Does he actually call "(1':32") "Wanderers straight back in front"

coulda sworn they said on the news at the time Deans decided not to retain her and several others due to wanting to change the team's style, players hadn't produced etc etc - hence why I am only half joking about the Deans Out bit - could we do better with a new coach?

We've barely looked in this game and Stengel had capitalised on two mistakes and we're 2-1 up after 20.

Looks like the women have the same defensive coach as the men
