I don't subscribe to the Herald so can only go by the few lines i can read.
Did i get it right in seeing Mourice Bisetto declare a Jets v Scum derby should be a headline act at Unite Round ?. Can somebody who does subscribe provide the article because if this is true then it is really concerning that our new owners just don't get it. To encourage these games between us and the scum to be played anywhere other than here or Gosford is just plain criminal.
Be nice to see the entire article before going any further but FMD that is a real worry.

Seems my subscription expired overnight. Recently cancelled it because it was costing too much.
The gyst was he sees F3 Derby as a big deal - said it should have been on Saturday or Sunday, not Friday. That harmed travelling fans. Likes the concept of Unite Round and happy for F3 derby to continue to be there while there are 3 derbies a year. But with an extra team, there will be 26 rounds of home and away at which stage it shouldn't be in Unite Round. It needs to be at home stadiums.
Spoke that soon they'll appoint new CEO. They have lots of business and sports knowledge in the group.
Happy with the inititatives so far being 6 months into the strategy. Specifically Jets in Business and the increased Digital presence.
There was no football related content by my recollection

Thanks JP much appreciated
I was more than happy to give this new ownership mob my support and wish them well however any club owner who is ok with a derby being played away from either participants home ground is a dead set numpty. Jets v Scum are one of the few games i look forward to each season at home or the away day down at Gosford. Both venues provide a great atmosphere and considering the state of the League that is a rare experience.
I do hope Mourice spoke of only his opinion and not collectively for the ownership group because i just find it very hard to get behind anybody who wants to remove one of what very few great gameday experiences we have. We don't get enough of those in a season to be advocating to throw one away to a round that was born of the ashes of Townsends screw up to sell the GF.
There won't be another Unite Round unless APL and Destination NSW do a new deal.
I think the point that the F3 Derby has been cheapened by the APL is a good one. It is the original derby in an age where we apparently want more derbies, usually used as a curtain raiser to a "bigger" derby.
Why it isn't given its own spot with a weekend evening kickoff to griw the Sydney-centric audience is amazing. Even the fake "original rivalry" gets better billing.
Bad news - Melbourne Victory are close to insolvency....

It's unbelievable but true. Albo has given the NRL $600 million of taxpayers money. Apparently $290 million for the new PNG team (if they stay away from those nasty Chinese), $250 million for rugby league in the Pacific, and $60 million split between the remaining clubs. Bring on the election, if he lasts that long. Dickhead
I understand your point its very valid but given the way the APL has been managed can you really blame anybody or any Govt not wanting to tip money in. The APL lacks any accountability for there decision making and handling of finances . If memory serves me correctly weren't elected positions just held almost in complete secrecy ?
A good Govt would at the very least if they were to tip money in have to insist upon new governance.
I don't think there is any doubt when Stephen Conroy was appointed Chair of the Board at the APL the unspoken hope was he could and would leverage relationships with current sitting colleagues he spent time with whilst a Senator. I must say that was my hope but as time goes by and the game continues to spiral under the APL its clear his priorities lay with his 5 min cameos on Sky as one of the token lefties when a conservatives view is not required.
Zadkovich is my favourite league villain.

Wow, there are some laughable stats in this survey report. Did they include the seagulls in the figures?
This banning of participants on the Clubs Facebook account is really starting to gain some traction eh ?
