I think you were misinformed.
Edgey were missing 2-3 players and Olympic were missing 4-5 players Hodges, Davies, Mooney, Musulak, Bertos. Edgey were chasing shadows for most of the game, the score did not indicate a very one sided affair, Olympic just could not put it in the back of the net.
