I think just about everyone is keen to not think about local league football for at least 3 months.

Overall, I think the season went well. The top 4 was probably what most thought. Although I don't think anyone tipped Mayfield to do what they did. The must be proud of their seasons achievements and extremely disappointed to only walk away with a runners up medal for third grade after finishing 1st, 2nd and 1st.
Sad that Jesmond went down. Always were a good bunch of guys and was nice having a team closer to town and also enjoyed the craft beer they had!
Bero just hung on, will need a pretty big off season to hang on again next year.
Suns and Dudley rivalry just seems to continue to blossom. I'm sure everyone can't wait for that to continue in 2019.

Raymond Terrace are the grand final winning specialists with 4 in a row and now move up to ZPL. Not sure if they can repeat that effort, but will be interesting to see how they perform.

5 GF wins in a row.

No one challenged them in ZL1 this year, they'll be strong in ZPL. Likely around that top 4 area, or thereabouts. Don't see them coming back down if they can keep the squad they have now, or improve it.
Their lower leagues will struggle in ZPL though. They need to bring in a lot of quality in those squads to be competitive.

Jesmond got promoted after losing zero games during the season, they went on to finish 7th. Barnsley lost 2 games and then went on to finish 9th. Terrace will be fighting Cardiff for last.

Agree about the beer, delish! Not sure about the people, take ya word for it. The world would of been a better place if either Bero or Barnsley went down, can't have everything I guess

I personally can't wait to read all the stories about how Dudley are gonna win the league and then watch them lose again. Also can't wait to see if the self proclaimed bestCMintheleague gets his spot back, doubt it.

Terrace will enjoy the fact that they’ll be predicted to not go well. It will take the pressure away and let them focus on playing football.
To make it in ZPL they will need to recruit more quality players into the squad to strengthen not only 1st but the club itself which i’m sure they already know and plan to do.

I wouldn't say noone challenged them, they lost a few games and the title race was still on in the last round. I didn't go watch but from what I heard the GF could have gone either way as well.
I think what separated the top two in ZL1 from the next few was consistency more than anything, most teams were capable of giving them a run for their money.

On Jesmond and Barnsley, having played against both those teams during their league wins, I personally wasn't that impressed by the teams, meaning no offence. They were good but certainly not standouts in the league. The impressive part was their ability to win games and keep doing it. I feel Terrace (and cookers this year) are both stronger than those two teams were, and wish them all the best in trying to make a dint next season.

On a side note, would like to congratulate Suns and Kotara, I just finished watching the replay on BarTV last night and it was a cracking match. Well done to both and congrats Suns on the win. See you guys next pre season

So seasons done and theres not much to talk about I guess. Why don't we help each other out by listing something we hate about another club?

I'll get the ball rolling. Jesus the suns have shit changerooms! surely if they stopped forking out to the coach/players (rumour posted about earlier) they could do something about it!

I agree. Bero sheds are far worse and they don't have kabapi rolls and the feedback the locals give at Bero is always colorful

Haha well unfortunately if the Suns used their player budget of zero, it wouldn’t improve the shed at all. Don’t mind the whole have a whinge thing, but there are worse changerooms going around.
Unfortunately NCC aren’t prepared to splash the cash like LMCC have at Swansea, Warner’s Bay..

In my opinion; Bero are far worse.
Dudley, Kotara are equal at best to the Suns, probably worse.

The Suns have only been around for 21 years. Have never had the luxury of a permanent home, so I think you can’t complain too much. When we first moved to carrington, we didn’t even have a canteen. It was just a shade tent we bought with esky’s and a bbq. I haven’t seen many other clubs in this division that have had most things given them so much other than find an excuse as to why the Suns do well and bag them out. Really need to move on from the paying players thing because it’s never happened, and don’t see that changing at all. Albeit the last rumour was probably the funniest of the lot.

Enjoy the off season lads. Whether that involves relaxing or bagging out other people because life bored.

I can 100% guarantee you that NCC didn't spend a cent a Swansea and Warnersbay

Someone tell Nuatali, I'm sure she would love the chance to get infront of the cameras and take all the credit.

I didn’t type that correctly, obviously LMCC spent that money. They was in reference to LMCC. My point is that NCC have not done so anywhere for football locally like lake mac have done so out there.

Hoping Bero resign their coach so he can continue to play himself and run the club into the ground.

Yes all grounds in LMCC, NCC does very little and even when their own people damage the grounds they tell the clubs using it that if that want it fixed they will have to pay for it.
