I thought i might plant a seed that I heard over the weekend that Stocko are signing a couple of big name Current NPL players next year...

sorry I don't follow this league but I thought I would just let this thread know..

Correct, no excuses. Some of the boys said stocko were the best team they played in the first round, so not a surprise they could jag the win.

Stockton looked very good early and ran Uni around the park... They seemed to take the foot off the pedal allowing Uni back in towards the later stages of the first half. Uni fought hard and kept coming back from a goal down in each half. Chances to both teams but University were stronger to the end of the game and perhaps could have stolen the it with two missed opportunities in the last 5 minutes. Stockton looked a bit shaky after such a good start in the first half.

University kicked away with 2 second half goals for a relatively easy win.

A pretty even game as the score suggests. University with a couple more chances but both teams played very well to hold out defensively. Stockton thirds looked to have the best of the first half but University were stronger in the second half.

Both teams were down on numbers i think.
