Amen. Morisset have played that rollercoaster over the last few years, aggressive promotion hunt, 2 years later topple down 3 divisions, rinse and repeat

Wasn’t there but told Terrace could have had more in first but tried to set up their departing Pom for a goal before he heads home.

Halfway through the season. I think the bye would’ve been a tougher opponent than Morisset! What a disgrace by the association making them stay up. 5 for, 42 against. Sorry but that’s not good enough. Blood is on your hands newcastle Football. Plus they will struggle to keep any players after this season. Would you want to stay after a season like this one?

    Terrace
    Cookers
    Stocko
    Azzuri #survivethedrop

If that isn’t the four teams finishing in the top 4 then you can shoot me in the foot.

You are correct, although morisset did ask to move to League 2.

Played Maryland on the weekend and they were very competitive across all 3 grades with 10 or so missing apparently but they'll be there or thereabouts in First Grade. I think the current top 5 will battle it out with 1 side to miss out. Will make for a good second half of the season.

PS shout out to the Maryland Boys for the turnout at the Commie after the game (and getting us kicked out to the beer garden in our own pub haha)

    Morisset vs Azzurri
    Firsts 1-5
    Reserves 3-6

Incorrect score is on sporting pluse for Reserve Grade as referees recorded the score incorrectly on the team sheet as Morisset winning 6-3. Not sure how you manage to bugger that one up and dispute box was signed.

Solid team, although I do not see them making the 4.

Definitely agree with both of these posts. As much as the #survivethedrop was a massive pisstake, our goal was just to be competitive this season and hopefully build from there. We have no ambition of even considering promotion until capital works begins on Smith Park (sheds = disgrace, surface = disgrace, lights = zero, irrigation = zero, drainage = zero). Until then, it is all about providing dirt cheap rego with a damn good pub/social scene...and of course adidas tracksuits.

The good news is that after two months of waiting, Council have finally approved our shipping container! Only problem is that now we will probably wait 6 months for them to give us the key.

You think they're giving you a key? You only asked for the container!

What a dismantlement on the weekend. First Terrace 11-0 followed by Stockton 8-2. Did anyone happen to watch these games?

We should have had at least 3 more. A missed pen and two 3 yard tap ins missed. Happy to take the 8 though

Uni seemed to be very solid in lower grades. Their reserve grade were very structured and sharp across the field, which usually reflects on how your first grade team plays, not in this case. Not sure if there are selection issues or not but our reserve grade got beat and know for a fact that we wouldn’t get close to putting that many past our own reserve grade. They seemed to have all handy players individually but as a team were horrible under constant pressure. It was a very clean game in firsts and a lot of the credit has to go to the referee for not adding frustration to the game or players. 11-0 may have flattered us as we didn’t miss as many chances as we normally do. Will be interesting to see how uni bounce back
