With 10 game ban standing and AT BEST 6 of them in the A-League IF we make it through the first few rounds of the FFA cup then it would seem that we need a genuine alternative to Roy. It is a lot to ask one of the young ones taken to China to be first choice striker and still there would be no backup. Surely must be top of the shopping list is a solid "2nd choice" striker. Possibly someone towards the end of their career, looking for one more season? Would give the youth another year to develop and give cover for the season.

Just get that 10 game loan like City have done before. Someone decent to cover until Roy is back.

In the Jetstream interview with Lawrie, he said as a result of Roy's ban the club were looking for a striker who can play on the wing as opposed to a primary winger who can also pay striker.

Yeah I agree with you there. I think Pato is a great player but physically not really suited to the A-league IMO, certainly not the style of football the Jets have been playing.
