    ... and here we go.
Preseason was definitely too quiet. Who's next?

Will be very interesting how we approach this. Promote from within or local? Tap up another a-league keeper (cisak)? Plenty of Aussie keepers floating about Europe?

Interesting and unfortunate, he’s been pretty solid as a keeper. Often providing the highlights in some pretty tough times for the club over the last few years.

This has “Bring Ben Kennedy Home” all over it.

I personally don't see us finding a worthy replacement. Not this season at least

Sign a good young keeper from within Australia and make Moss number 1 for this upcoming season.
Spend the year searching for the best long term (if there is such thing in the A-league) replacement.

Is Biraz even playing these days? Haven't heard the blokes name since he left.

I was in Rome 2 weeks ago and randomly signed a petition for a local rehab centre, had to write where I was from so wrote Newcastle, the drug addict looked at me and said ‘Newcastle Jets?’, turns out he was family friends with Birrigitti. He seemed to think he was coming back to Newcastle, I dismissed it at the time, but maybe the bloke was onto something.

This brings back memories of the banter on here about having 2 starting quality keepers on starting coin a few years back and the reality all that does is deny additional funds for outfield players under the cap. I would be quite happy to see Moss as the number 1 with the youth keeper elevated and if shit happens injury wise then an approach to Necevski once again to fill the void.

Griff I hope not. Bloke is the worst keeper in A League history

    I would rather have Karius

I would be happy with that. Also frees up more Cap space for a new striker

I have a feeling the club will promote young Noah James from the Yoof to First team action and keep Moss as 1st chpice

Watching the Yoof Moss has been working quite hard with James already

Good shot stopping but has some work on aerial to do though

Should be a good idea as it also uses a Yoof spot for our reserve keeper which frees up a spot elsewhere in the squad

There will be a rule introduced to prevent this because Sydney FC can't utilise it.

I'm probably wrong but I thought there was a rule whereby 2 senior contracted goalkeepers were required
