Thing is he can't deliver a decent cross to save himself has a non existent assist stat and took him years from memory of first team football in the A League after many bombed chances to get his first goal.

He must be paying us. Martins new business plan for the Jets, Fund it like a academy. Tell a player he has has something and potential and fleece him for all his worth to be in the squad. No other explanation for considering this bloke.

I hope the chatter about Georgievski to the new Melb team isn't true. He puts in 110% for the shirt I think we can't afford to lose him. He has some games that are a bit how's ya father but I'll take his passion ever day of the week

Nothing against George but having a reasonable chunk of cap space being used on a fullback spot is just stupid in a salary capped league.

allowing new franchises to fleece us of our best players is how we ended up so shit for years... I'd rather we kept hold of someone with Georgievski's passion, it can spark the others when he gets going

There's lots of valid arguments for keeping or releasing Georgie. He certainly appears to be a nucleus of squad bonding, getting along with everyone. That can't be underestimated.

The salary capped league argument is also valid. If he is taking up a fair chunk of the cap, is that the best space to spend it. Lots of teams get by without having a dedicated left back - Victory won the league without a left back. However, we've got a decent left back, which is something of a commodity. Why would we let that go?

My sense if this wasn't a salary capped league, we'd look to keep DG. However, we aren't and I think as a result we will see him move on. I'd still like to keep him - it's head vs heart stuff.
