    2013 East Asian Championships

"the FFA has accepted an invitation from Japan to play in East Asia's regional tournament"

    http://www.smh.com.au/sport/football...#ixzz24yTPYA2J

sweet - another football tournament - and given the way the quality in the AFC has moved from west to east, this will basically be like another Asian Cup

The tournament needs to be used to sort out the World Cup squad (assuming we qualify). There are still many positions where we have a laughable rotation of shit players.

When this qualifying round is on obviopusly we would struggle to get the Euro Based Socceroos but lets look around who we could get Japan Based - Kennedy Brosque
    China based Griff
    Korean Based Nathan Burns
    MLS Cahill

**** Me we are getting close to a top of the range side

I dunno, sounds like a pretty important thing.
They wouldn't have picked Dino if they aren't intent on making some kind of statement.

Thompson the only player that's really led a line in that whole squad? Surprised they weren't sniffing around for griff, or that J griff didn't get a run?
    Also that brosque isn't there?

Happy to see behich getting some more game time, as well as your Rogic's and Mooy's.

Next F3 derby we will be without Taggart, CCM will be without Rogic and Ryan....I can hear Arnie's excuses already.

    lol porksey...

apparently taggart was picked due to his form in the u20 games.
    Adam Peacock ‏@adampeacock3
Heard good things last nite about perfomances of Taggart and Antonis at u20 WC Qualies in UAE.. hence the call up to @Socceroos squad.
