I too am a neutral but must have been at a different ground, at the game I got to, the referee was outstanding and on the penalty decision spot on, a poor tackle that wasn't necessary, the Magic player was going nowhere.
It appeared to me that you were insinuating the referee was to blame for the buds loss
Playing against 10 men for the last 20 would have helped them and they should have been. His tackle was why the rule was written in. Very lucky the player walked away. Clear send off.

Maitland led 1.0 at halftime through Joel Woods, Magic equalised after 60 through a quality free kick from Oxborrow.
Maitland hanhing on for last 15 minutes or so with the ref waving away a clear Magic penalty with about 10 to go
100% it was a clear penalty. Compared to the very soft penalty magic got last week makes you wonder.
Referees do a good job but that sort of inconsistency is frustrating
Same ref as well. He had an absolute horror show
