I hate to be writing this but... drop Dimi.
He's slowing down the attack to the point where his stats are quite useless: his shots are blocked because the opposition has all the time to put 3/4 men in front of him, and his "passes into the box" don't work for the same reason.
I don't know if it's his fault or if he's not getting adequate support... but it's not working.
Not sure about Ridenton but Victory's 2nd goal is partially on him for not clearing (Ernie was pretty clear about this...)
Also, I'd drop Johnny K and bring back Vujica

    Italiano

    Hoffman
    Boogs
    NTS
    Vujica

    Uga
    Ridenton (Cowburn?)
    Vargas

    Jair/Champness
    Roy
    Sheppard/(Dimi from 70')

Vjuica is done at the Jets forget about him and while I agree on Dimi, He is an untouchable and will never be dropped reguardless of form

I'd like to see Cowburn into the team. I noticed on the weekend, of the two screeners, Stevie U-G took the "Kanta" role of screening the back 4 while Ridenton took the more advanced role supplying the attacking 4.

I would prefer Stevie U-G back into that more advanced role and I don't trust Ridenton to do this as much - I think Cowburn can do this role.

I would bring in Vujica for suspended DG and drop Jair for the returning Ronny. I think Ivan's attitude will help him - by all accounts in the youth games he's taking it seriously as one of the senior pros. However, my guess is Jackson goes back to FB.

I also anticipate Champness off the bench, not start.

Sheppard is also worthy of a start with his recent performances. He might not last the distance, but he's playing well.

    wait, what?

He has been a machine since he came back (apart from the last 10 mins v Roar where the coach should have hooked him).
He is the least of our problems ATM.
I'd be fine with Shep starting over Jair.
    I like Jeterpools Cowburn theory.
Ronny gonna be back in regardless.

Look, I agree he has played generally well, but he was heavily involved in both of Roar's goals, and nowhere to be seen when Troisi received the ball last Saturday: Thurgate tried desperately, but where was the RB? Now, I'm not sure what the duties are in a chaotic situation like that, and the responsibilities are also shared with Ridenton (clear the ball FFS!) and Italiano, but my feeling is he wasn't where he was supposed to be.
IMO he's not reliable as a full back, he could do much better in midfield. Maybe try him instead of Ridenton.

The season is on the line tonight. Lose this and it all becomes about the ACL and recruitment for next season.

I'm confident. Sugar will return to his best tonight. As will Dimi. Hyphen to be best on ground, though.
