How about
We've got a clean sheet
We've got a clean sheet
How shit must you be
We've got a clean sheet
Sung 20 seconds into the match
Thats about as clever as singing the DISCO chant anytime before injury time except when we are winning by a goal margin greater than 3.....

Do you honestly think it is gonna jinx us from keeping one???
I don't think even breaking a sacred superstition would help us.
We could all cross paths of black cats, walk under ladders and open umbrellas inside before kick off and none of these things would stop us from not getting a clean sheet!!!

Alright this is heaps overdue. Probably in my top 3 tunes but the words are a tad awkward to fit in with the syllables in each line but feel free to change anything. After all i'm only suggesting some lyrics but this tune must be sung imho. If we can't do this, then just give up.
MOONLIGHT SHADOW
We're supporters of Newcaaaaastle
We will always, hate you Sydney & Gypos. (Bit dubious this line)
We sing for the boys in the Gold, red and blue.
Oh Newcastle we live to love you
NEWCASTLE clapclapclap
NEWCASTLE fapfapfap
Ohhhhh oh oh oh oh oh oh ohhhhhh*
*Singing along to the tune
More christmas carols needed.
but I love the one above.
Also adjusted
We're supporters of Newcaaaaastle
First or last, we will always be with you
We sing for the boys in the Gold, red and blue.
Oh Newcastle we sing for you
NEWCASTLE clapclapclap
NEWCASTLE fapfapfap
Ohhhhh oh oh oh oh oh oh ohhhhhh*
bit better beat wise?

Took me a while to get match that line you suggested but i think i've got how it goes and its pretty good.
Bump moonlight shadow
Bump torcida chant
Bump disco land
Could probably even get rid of the Newcastle clapclapclaps and just go straight into the oh oh oh bit.
we're newcastle
we're wonderful
we're gonna jump and clap and sing until we score
we're gonna win
and we will sing
until we bring the 3 points back to turton road
OK
a cross that comes from the wing
or maybe just a tap in
we don't care as long as we get a goal
we are newcastleeee
we are newcastleeee
we're going to sing this, until we score
(repeat until we score)
OK
good effort mate, but sloop john b has to be the most overused football tune in the universe.
need moar tunes that no-one has done before.

is it an ideal of our active support that we need to do our own rarely-used songs, no matter what, though?
in my head i see sydney claiming everything they have done was first done by them, and no inspiration from europe or anything, ever. but for us, i figure if a chant would be fun to sing, can be executed well by the majority of mongs we have on offer, etc - then why not, and who cares which clubs have sung what before.
OK
no, not no matter what, but as I said sloop john b is overused to a ridiculous extent. I am not criticising you btw, its just my 2c.

i wasn't trying to be confrontational either, all good. i'm just picturing singing something like the two i've posted, and it being pretty enjoyable and imagining that we'd be able to hold said chants for a decent amount of time
OK
plus its also about the content of the words we are singing.. if you use the rhythm and tune and make it truelly personal not just generic. makes it more us. plus always good to have songs in the catalog. used everynow and then. 2cs
