2020 NPL Youth Thread

I think 2 divisions is the way to go for sure. NPL1 and NPL2. Do we tie promotion / relegation to first grade results or run the youth independent on a club championship basis?

Another one to ponder: do we have 2 x 8 team competitions?

And another: what about mid north coast, far north coast and northern inland? They have no senior NPL teams so when those players finish in under 16s, where do they go? Is it worth including them at all? (not advocating this, just points for discussion).

Should clubs have a limit placed on them for player turnover each season?

Separate from seniors. If clubs with low seniors build stronger youth it may flow on.

Club championship is a not a bad idea to separate divisions. A club with 3 lasts and a first needs a major fix. Clubs with teams that are all 4th provide quality opposition in each comp

Coast teams enter div 2 and promote with results.

Player turnover??? If youre trying to get off bottom maybe a few need to be replaced if possible.

They have played all teams but these are the only teams that both the old and new coaches have coached against. I have no more time entertaining muppets so go with your buddy Kermit and find something better to do.

It's not about the stats or the wins, it's about his personality not being suited to coaching kids. He's been removed from both SAP and NPL clubs.

Those around know enough, and those who don't know, don't need to know and its probably best left at that.

Been told that Adamstown have put in Official compliant to Northern about Jaffas poaching kids in 14s. Jaffas taking 8 kids from the current Buds team next season . What the actual ****?!!?!?

I have it from a good source that they have also told a player from Maitland 14s that he has a spot at the Jaffas 15s next year as well. Richard Hartley has said they aren't doing trails and the reason why they don't have to bother is because they have already poached players and offered them spots.

Not surprising really, but what is Northern going to do about it?

Buds MAY have approached Jaffas. There are other clubs with deals in hand that will also be revealed. This will need a big bucket of popcorn.
