    No brand A-league 20/21 - Match Week 1 - CCM v Jets - 31/12 7:00pm

Good chance this might be postponed as well. or maybe played without fans.

Big questions - will we have a new owner? Will we have enough players? Will this match decide the wooden spoon?

I think we're forgetting that the coasties squad is arguably in worse shape than ours.

We will win this match *and* the spoon. We will not have a new owner.

    We will lose
    No owner.
We can't win the wooden spoon because we will be kicked out of the league mid season due to going into liquidation.

A creditor calling in the debt would be the best thing to happen to the club at the moment.

We don't look super, but we at least look like a team of professional footballers. Which is more than can be said for the Gypos.

We do however look a bit slow and unfit. Definitely hasn't been a terrific pre season for us.

Yeah, kind of knew that was going to happen.

At least the Mariners look like absolute hot garbage. They will be relying on teams gifting them goals like that all season I reckon.

So Bozanic gets away with a red card. Kosta gets away with a hand ball. And now Simon gets away with a hand ball.

VAR doing about as well as I expected.

We look a lot less like professional footballers now.

The only thing less professional than the players is the referee and the fox commentary.

FFA are to blame for this shitfest.
If they acted when Martin Lee stopped financing the club 18 months ago we might have a competitive side.

I mean this honestly. I don't think I've ever witnessed a worse game of professional football in my life.

It looked a bunch of kids playing with about 6 professional players in some pre season sponsored promotion game. Like the A League No Stars or something?

Imo, I think that is gonna be a league wide issue. We are pretty used to the same players being recycled over and over, and as such become familiar with them. The usual suspects are starting to retire. Looking at team sheets from the weekend, it’s clear that each club has a lot of new faces and new player that are reasonably unknowns.

Last night was a final spasm of 2020. We can now leave that shit to history and move on to the glory of 2021.

    Happy new year, losers.
