They shouldn't be able to do it, times have changed. Why should they get to take the Newcastle name?, what would happen if every over team in the Newcastle council area requested to be called Newcastle?

Newcastle District cricket association recently knocked back Cardiff's request to be called Lake Macquarie for the same reason.

Two rounds in and only 2 clubs with 100% win records.
    Wouldn't have picked that

An afternoon and an evening fixture from Good Friday through to Easter Monday. Or at least 3 of the 4 days.
Few puzzling decisions so far, is this the draw clubs wanted though?

You are forgetting that the players are not even semi pro and have young families.
Well done to the clubs and federation for scheduling the games early in Easter and therefore still allowing the players, coaches & volunteers to get away for a few days or at the very least a few days with their families.

    Firstly, what's stopping them?

Secondly, what was Olympic's reason for the name change?

Yes it is what the clubs wanted, for youth parents want to go away, for seniors players, coaches and club officials want to be able to spend time with family.

In saying that we still had games this weekend so not sure what the problem is

I enjoyed the sunshine watching this. Buds fielding a young team with an inexperienced Coach. Can't Blame them. Free hit. No relegation. A couple of decent lads there if they can keep them. Not much in rest of Youth apparently which is sad for a famous old club with a good facility. Azzurri look ok, but something is not right when Goodchild comes on and looks most likely. The NPL looks open and shut. Some close results but depth wins it. Edgey, Maitland and Magic plus Jaffa$ depending on who else they buy.

After round 2 what would everyone be thinking regarding early predictions.

I think Lakes have proven a worthy opponent at this stage although granted only one point from six but given the opponents they have faced it would appear they will be a tougher beast than 2020.

To early to tell. results and performances have been a mixed bag for me. Another week or 2 should start to paint a picture of where clubs are at.

There is no nice way of saying this. But is anyone all that interested in the bottom 4? To me it is the top half that is way more interesting.

    Not when there’s no relegation.
