Did anyone see the draw? I was no good at probability in maths but what are the odds on that draw if drawn out of a hat. If it wasn’t drawn with some form of randomness, kind of takes away the magic of a Cup competition.

Dudley knocked off Toronto tonight. So Cardiff, Swansea, Mayfield all knocked off NewFM teams. Starting to become a common thread. Lucky for Belswans and NL

Lucky cause without those 2 teams ZPL have beaten all the teams in the division above. NL and Belswans saved total embarrassment

There are no NL1 teams that train more than twice a week that I know of.

Sth Maitland were very poor. On another note that field and facilities at Tenambit are unreal. Wonders why they don't have a zone team

They did many many years ago. But interest from some players and the committee at the time made it hard to keep it going. I tried numerous times to revive it but was not met with much enthusiasm. They seem happy with how the operate now, but your right in say the facilities are quite decent..

With how fast Maitland LGA is growing and the facilities to attract players I have no doubt they would find some success if they ventured into zone again

Tenambit was always a good place to go and play in the lower zone leagues. Good field and facilities and it appeared like they had a few people that tried to make it work.

It's disappointing the way it's gone that clubs come and go at the drop of a hat and Tenambit were a team that should still have a zone league squad. Sustainable zone league clubs are hard to come by, I guess all ZPL and ZL1 Squads are stable. But it only takes 10 or so players to drop out of a zl2 or zl3 squad to make the club vulnerable.

Maitland is a growing area, but at the end of the day there is only enough players to go around a certain number of clubs. It appears that Bolwarra, North's United and South Maitland have stable clubs who will hopefully stay around. Flooding the Maitland area might affect these clubs in depth of numbers.

Maybe in a year or so a Tenambit or even Maitland Juniors might come back in zone league 3. Maitland Juniors were also a good club for a zone league outfit especially with the ground improvements. But a lack of success on field was probably the reason they failed to survive which again was disappointing. Maitland seniors were successful, but I'm not sure if they were ever going to be a long term club in the lower zone leagues.
