It's getting quite tiring conceeding in the first 10 mins and then either outplaying or staying level with the other team for the next 80 minutes.
At this point a change needs to happen and it should be a drastic one, 4 games and Duncan hasn't managed a clean sheet and Roy hasn't managed a goal. I'm not overly sure what that change should be, whether it's just swapping those players out or an entire formation and play style change but it needs to happen. Unfortunately, this team regardless of how much you change it also just feels destined to be competitive but rarely come out on top due to a lack of overall quality.
Agreed and what is somewhat hard to understand is the different messaging we are getting from those at the club. Lawrie and Mattiske made comments at the ground v Wankerers game regarding additional signings yet listening to Deans comments in his post match presser v Roar he was not aware anything of the sort was happening.
Sadly Mark that mixed messaging from the club means the o/all quality issues are likely to be a season long thing.
Your mistake there was even entertaining the idea that Lawrie could say the truth.
We are only going to be looking at kids trying to get game time and some flops who can't get a gig elsewhere if they present themselves to the club. Lawrie isn't doing anything that is going to help the club at this point, he's just trying to ensure he gets paid for as long as possible. Hence why he has been turning away clubs who won't offer to retain his services after their takeovers. If the FFA are real about finding a buyer they'll kick that leach McKinna to the curb and let him run back down the coast where he belongs.
