BK, Regan, Pepper were three of them and they made sense from a "Newcastle" perspective. Mullen from Adelaide was the other and I have no idea why he got a gig.

Caravella rejected it and I think a few others did as well

Hmmmm.. This sounds very intriguing, if true..
Also, don't forget the huge amount of hints going on from the club regarding the gold kit.. Thats exciting enough as it is!

I put this post up a few days ago and I suppose NTS didn't get much symphony in response from the forum. All I'm saying is that NTS has been a loyal servant and an adopted novacastrian. He deserved the right to have one more season in my opinion. Surly they could have kept him and brought in replacements for Boogaard and Jackson to provide competition.

There is a good chance he will end up at a rival NSW A League club. The supporters surely can't whinge as we have released him.

Jack Simmons is a strange one. So highly rated 2 years ago but now back in the NPL. Would have thought Papas could have been the man that could have pushed his game on? Being a local, hopefully he gets an opportunity back at the Jets in the future.

NTS was good this year but if people are being honest with themselves the difference between the last two seasons for Topor was greater than any other back to back seasons. His turning and chasing ability was slower, seem to get caught out more and his distribution this past season was many times horrendous.

Guess the club figured another par season or even a lesser one was not going to cut it given the options presented to them.

The most unfortunate thing is circumstances sadly haven't allowed for a proper and well earnt send off. Thats football

Daniel Sturridge has been clubless for a while and recently invited to train with a Spanish team in 2nd tier.
Injury prone, but I dare say the demands of a league are not the same as his EPL loads. Also not much football in the last few years. Probably would want too much money too.
Imagine the kids all doing the Sturridge dance.

If nothing else, Our sportsbets accounts could get some benefits.

Based on the herald article today seems to guarantee we aren’t keeping Donachie or Topor

No chance of getting Sturridge to the Jets IMO. He would want too much money, too risky injury wise anyway.
Mallorca are in LaLiga this year, they were promoted last season.

Yeah I'm not a fan of Johnny K going at all, he's really shown up last season and was honestly one of our better players. I've always been a fan, but even still it felt like he was finally coming into himself, so best of luck to him and I just hope he doesn't play too good against us
