Lefondre whining like a bitch about the ref.
He's silent though that Sydney had a few players lucky not to have been given 2nd yellows.

    Good result.

Wasn't Le Fondre clearly offside? Am I missing something?

They keep showing the reply of Elsey blocking the pass but Le Fondre was offside when the ball was played to him for the goal?

On the balance of things, I'll take that result.

Le Fondre in the following play was offside. The SFCTV narrative though is to ignore that and whine about the play before.

I think the contention is whether it came of an opposition player 'intentionally?? to play him onside?
    Can anyone comment?

Forgive me, but for everyone whinging and whining about their smurfs offside goal.
    1. I’d love to see the square ball across, cause I suspected Le fondre was offside too.
    2. What’s the difference if say, Elsey doesn’t block it, and the shot goes to Duncan who parries it to the offside player who scores, he’s offside right? Even though Duncan “plays” at the ball?
    3. Unless Elsey passes it or heads it intentionally/mistakenly kicks it to him, he’s offside.

The “official” VAR image is of the shot/deflection/possession to offside player when ball was struck. So that’s as far as VAR got to assess the play.
I agree with Mitch though, I’d love to see the last ball as well.

Elsey definitely played at the ball. I'm not sure who played the ball to Le Fondre but if they're calling him offside, they've made the wrong call

But from the next ball across to Le Fondre, he is offside. I don't understand why everyone is focused on the play before, Let Fondre was offside. They haven't even showed a reply focussing on that

Maybe he had a chat to Sturridge and decided to only play Home games.

Lafondre looked clearly onside for the 3rd goal.
