Penha, Thurgate and O'Doherty very good tonight. We are just lacking a little in front of goal. Should be ahead by more than 1 at half time

I'm not sure if Wellington are making us look good or if we haven't let them play but.. I think we have a side that can win the league.

I look forward to the wheels absolutely falling off but the beginnings are there.

Maybe I've had too many beers

Also that third goal is one of the better goals I've ever seen from a Jets team

Hopefully, this is the start of some exciting things for this team and not a once-off.

We looked much tighter in defence and more deadly in front of goals, was good to see Beka net a double and get some confidence early in the season.

Hope this isn't a sign of things for Yuel, still played well and got lucky with the second goal that it landed in front of Beka but he really coulda had 2 easy goals tonight and ended up with 0.

With a full-strength squad on the horizon I really do feel like we are looking at a side that makes finals football this season

9 goals in 4 matches is our second best ever start behind the 10 in the same fixtures of 17/18 under Merrick.

We were more a counter attacking team then and didn't have the control of the game this team has.

Under Robbo's 10 matches we had control and could play out but we weren't as quick in our attacking movement as we are.

I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing

Second half we were far better in front of goal. Imagine the score if Yuel had been "on"!!!

I think I will cancel my Newcastle Herald digital subscription next week. The Jets coverage is poor. The main Jets story today is about the creditors from the previous owner.
The coverage for both games last night is there, but you have to dig for it. Easy to find pointless, off season Knights news though.

The Jets coverage in the Herald is superb and the best you will find anywhere in Australia,=
