First grade semi-finals and preliminary finals will remain at club home grounds. But for the first time – and in the first season of the NPL Women’s NNSW competition – a double header will showcase NNSWF’s top tier men’s and women’s competitions at the same venue on the same day.

    NPL MEN’S NNSW/NPL WOMEN’S NNSW – FIRST GRADE
The NPL Men’s NNSW first grade grand final will be played at No.2 Sportsground on Sunday 2 October at 2pm, with the NPL Women’s NNSW grand final to follow at 5pm.

NPL WOMEN’S NNSW – OTHER GRADES
Under-13s to reserve grade grand finals will be played at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Saturday 1 October.

    Under-13s will kick off at 9am, under-15s at 11am, under-17s at 1.15pm and reserve grade at 3.30pm.

Semi-finals and preliminary finals will remain at club home grounds.

NPL MEN’S NNSW – OTHER GRADES
Under-18s and reserve grade grand finals will also be played at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Saturday 1 October.

Under-18s will kick off at 12.30pm, with reserve grade at 3pm.

Semi-finals and preliminary finals will remain at club home grounds.

HIT106.9 NORTHERN LEAGUE ONE – SENIOR FOOTBALL
The 2022 HIT Northern League One senior grand finals will be played at the newly refurbished Jack McLaughlan Oval, Edgeworth on Saturday 17 September.

Under-18s will kick off at 10am, with reserve grade at 12.30pm and first grade at 3pm.

Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility will be on standby should there be any concerns over Jack McLaughlan Oval’s ability to host the matches due to wet weather.

Semi-finals and preliminary finals will remain at club home grounds.

NPL AND NL1 YOUTH – FINALS SERIES
Following discussions held at the joint standing committee meeting on Wednesday 13 July, subsequent conversations have been had on the impact on regional teams.

It is also now more likely that regional teams will be involved in all NPL Youth semi-finals and half of NL1 Youth semi-finals.

It is also important to note that a number of players will also be involved in the Football Australia National Youth Championships in late September.

These factors as well as the impacts of travel, accommodation costs and playing matches on consecutive days were also considered.

    NPL YOUTH

The NPL Youth semi-finals will be played at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Tuesday 4 October.

The NPL Youth grand finals will also be played at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Saturday 8 October.

    HIT NL1 YOUTH

The HIT Northern League One Youth semi-finals will be played at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Wednesday 5 October.

The HIT Northern League One Youth grand finals will be played at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Saturday 8 October.

Match times for semi-finals and grand finals for specific age groups are available on GameDay. Times may vary to accommodate regional teams.

NNSWF General Manager Football Operations Liam Bentley thanked players, clubs and volunteers for their assistance in getting a challenging season to its conclusion.

“Playing our NPL Men’s and NPL Women’s grand finals at the same venue, a venue like No.2 Sportsground, on the same day will be a fitting finale to our season,” Bentley said.

“It will be a real celebration of football and I’d encourage everyone to get out and support the event.

“In terms of semi-finals and preliminary finals, our preference is always to play finals matches at club venues. But given the wet weather issues of this year we’ve opted to ensure as many grand finals as possible are played on surfaces which will be able to cope with any further wet weather and still provide a consistent playing surface.

“As with the rest of this season we need both us and our clubs to be flexible and reactive in order to provide as much football as possible at a key time of the year for all of our players.”

They have lost the plot & are out of control. On what planet do they think this is the best thing for football? Sack the lot & get football people in there.

    fark this is bullshit...

So when they put the reserve GF mens games on 3pm and the womens GF at 330pm at the possibly the worst venue to watch a game at, and possibly the worst venue to park at.

Which game will we watch, the whole idea of the GF is to have the focus on the last game of the year, the "grand finale" not play GF's simultaneously and divide the fans, talk about diversity splitting.

This just shows how much they have lost touch with the masses.

On the main games, so having the WPL GF after the NPL GF do they think everyone will hang around and watch, going by recent years i dont think so, maybe they might hold back doing a presentation and do that after the WPL GF so everyone stays.

if they've got more 16 year olds like the one who's stepped up recently then this could be a good thing for Valo

Chris I think his name is - plays well beyond his years

His name is Charlie and he is a great young player. Got dropped from Jets 15s at the end of last season and now plays 1st grade. Great job Jets 👏

Great result for Adamstown. Two victories in the space of four days. What a battle it would now be if we had relegation

Not surprised that Buds won today, they have been threatening to take a scalp all season. Should have beaten Edgeworth twice this season, should have won against Valentine, could have taken points off Charlestown and Lambton, conceded late goals against Cooks Hill and Lake Macquarie. Today, they had a 17 year old playing in the six, left back is also 17, the majority of this team is 21 and under. Only 4 boys in the starting eleven over the age of 21 (one is 22 and 23)! This is a good team that continues to get better.

Not sure what’s going on with Dylan Burston, he has now had 5 clubs in 2 years. Edgeworth, Adamstown, Charlestown, Lake Macquarie, Olympic- only played half a season at 4 of them …… Ridiculous!! Lucky for him it will soon be a 12 team comp! Must be collecting jackets!!

Credit to Buds, why not play kids when there is no relegation threat? They will get rewarded in coming years. Lakes spoon wrapped up, albeit a slap on the wrist and see you next year. Richo for a Lakes re run? I am hearing some dissent from within the ranks over at Lakes from Youth to Seniors. New kit, new investment promised big things.......didnt work out. Valo and seemingly Buds have improved, Lakes, worse across all teams. With a 12 team comp in 2023, Lakes won't want to be at the bottom again. Change needed.

Would’ve could’ve shouldve, thereby have had plenty of time to improve, one game doesn’t make a season, time to move them on

Everyone on here complains when clubs pay a shit load for over 30’s to play one year snd have no care for a club. Then you complain when a club does the opposite and doesn’t pay old players but invest long term with youth who love the club.
What would you like them to do

Haha my man FR had had a bug up his ass about Rosebuds since the dawn of time.

No doubt theres some bad blood from back in the olden times when his club was king.

Same old petty gripes that would be hilarious if they werent so sad.

To be fair though his blathering makes a welcome change to the usual magic/olympic/jaffas/others hate in here. Change as good as a holiday etc etc etc.
