this team has so many moments of obvious quality that it makes moments like that goodwin goal even more frustrating

At least we didn't concede in the last 5 minutes of the first half....just the first five.

thurgate might be the best midfielder in the league, and far and away the best in our team

has a team ever conceded this much at the end of halves? It's actually getting ridiculous at this point

20 shots with 9 on target again.
But you can't win conceding every game either.

Goodwin has the ball and we run away from him so he can put a cross in.
Cross goes in Elsey in no mans land again.

The Yuell experiment fails as it has at other clubs. Too much crap for the few golden moments. Boomal promises so much but he can't hit the target lately. We should have won that comfortably with the opportunities created

We had him, and he was begging to stay...

It's not even frustrating, you know it's gonna happen.
We concede early in the game, we dominate but can't score, eventually find a scrappy goal, then get sloppy and concede again at the end of the game.
I can't believe I watched this game again.

Would he have played for the same wage as Elsey?

F&*()ng witches hats our club captain and Elsey.

Yule for the last month playing like a bloke who would rather be anywhere but here. Touch, what touch ?. All we been getting lately from this bloke is the useless Western United version of him.

Paps with no answers to our defensive issues.

I honestly don't know, but I think he would have accepted a substantial cut. Is he on big money at WU?
I have the impression Elsey is not cheap either.
It seemed more like a technical decision to me.

Meh, I love watching us play. We are way more enjoyable even when we lose than some games that we won in previous years.

Considering we haven't heard boo about new owners, i.e. probably on our last legs as a club, I'd rather go out playing the most enjoyable football in the league than some dire GVE or Stubbins style football.

Don’t know if they showed anything on Paramount but live after the game Beka stayed on his own about 30m from the rest of the team. He was distraught and visibly remonstrating with firstly the captain and then one of the support staff. Pappas didn’t come near him for several minutes. He was riding him constantly on the sideline in the second half.
