Manadu Saito confirmed. Always wanted a Japanese player at the jets. He'll probably come in and play too many progressive passes and get benched

Hopefully his half season trial for one of the Sydney clubs goes well

This is the major reason why Jets are stupid.

How many great young players have we let go ensuring we stay as top p1ssant town taking the title off Adelaids

Was there a story behind Jordan Elsey's departure? One of the first players named on the teamsheet for first half of the season, now gone.

Rumor is a falling out with the coach.

I thought there was something about a longer term deal with Perth.

Could leave them short in central defence now with only 3 obvious options

Perth fans knew he was coming before anyone even knew he was a chance to leave us, obviously they had made him an offer and knew he would take the longer deal. As anyone would in his position.

If he had some sort of falling out, don't see how he would have been starting all the games he did. Sounds like rubbish to me.

He became less consistent the longer he was here. No loss for mine

Most stupid FB comment of the week - criticising the Jets for getting someone who is "too short to be a number 4".

McGarry is gone, and in his place are Phillip Cancar and Thomas Aquilina who are joining the club effective immediately but are signed on for next season

Thought McGarry was good in attack and possession, but a bit suspect defensively.
If memory serves he was dropped after a few games in a row where poor defending allowed scoring chances from his side which cost us.

It was nice having a natural left back though.

I'm desperately trying to make sense of the fact that Ingham and Hoffman are considered better options than McGarry at left back.
Starting to lose faith in Papas.

He was pretty much out of favor since the Victory game where he got turned inside out a few times. Clearly AP has his favorites who get numerous free passes for shit house performances whilst others get the ass in a heart beat.

I wonder if Mauragis is one of the reasons McGarry is let go. I haven't personally seen any of him this year but supposedly he's been doing well.

Maybe well enough that the club has decided we don't need McGarry for next season.
