    Rumoured Incoming Players
Kusini Yengi - Striker (WSW) Now rumoured to be heading overseas.

    Rumoured Outgoing Players
    3 spots remain as reported.

I wonder if Bayliss and Taylor could be changed to Scholarship contracts to increase possible 2 spots. Don't fully understand contract structuring anymore. I can't locate clear guidelines and regulations like I previously could when A-League was under the FFA.

In general I'm happier to see us sign "prospects" from NPL and academies than late 20's squad level players.
If we're just going to be an average team, at least be an average team giving players a shot who may then have some desire and motivation because of that - rather than this being someone's 4th A-League club and just stopping by for a year or two going through the motions.

Also aren't clubs required to spend a min amount of the cap, 90% or thereabouts ?.

That used to be the case. I'm unsure anymore because finding reliable information is tough. Belchardo was always the one who managed to dig that sort of information out.

The biggest thing we are missing atm is an actual striker and another high-quality CB. If both of the next two signings fill these gaps I'll honestly be feeling better about this team than I have in previous years because at least it's filled with some potentially interesting players instead of a load of has beens

I think these guys have come to try an earn A League field time. With this they will be on minimum contracts around $70,000. I don't think anyone would want to sign for apprentice wages of what the scholarship contracts are.

With the loss of Boogaard and NTS, we needed to bring in someone like Jurman to organise the defence - a real talker. We needed that gap addressed back when we brought Boogaard in from Adelaide because we leaked goals so easily that season because nobody spoke in the defense.

Stanton will no doubt be waiting to see if someone can step in to those shoes in terms of organising the backline. Duncan was always very vocal as a keeper - I don't specifically recalling if Weier is and no idea on Scott. If Natta and/or Cancar, who are both very young, can do it then great. Will Jenkinson be able to? I have doubts but I'll be watching.

Something else interesting to watch is if Jenkinson will be back here for the match against Victory.

Is he on social media? Has he been posting photos that indicate if he's in Australia or not? It's a long off season to be out here if we lose and don't have any real competitive matches until October.

Competitive matches, Pretty sure the other teams have already banked the points.

I enjoy the number of players off contract this season.
Very little $$ tied up with Ingham, Goodwin and Dowse for 24/25 (bloody hell, talking about 2025….)

Means that fresh start is easier to come by.
Previously I feel like we’ve always had GK or CBs or some vital positions signed for too long.

As was mentioned, I’m happier watching a bunch of NPL prospects than has beens and other clubs’ castaways.
    Need to moneyball this club.

I got that one wrong, Wood resigned with Sydney for 2 more years.

James Donachie and Alex Parsons released from Sydney. I'm sure Donachie would have interest among A League clubs, although he might end up in India too.

Yengi has signed for Portsmouth. I'd like to thank them for preventing us signing him.
