So many caravan dwellers on Twitter and reddit still harping on about not getting to host the GF against us in gypoville, it?s been 15 years FFS.

Not even comparable situations, it was their pissweak three-sided garden shed that was the reason for that.

Hope City put a cricket score on them and Danny boy gets another red.

Unfortunately both teams can't lose, so I want City to lose much less than CCM.

    Go City.

you're asking whether we'd prefer the sportswashing arm of a foreign despotic power with a terrible human rights record, or our pluckey little neighbours from down the road, fighting hard against the odds with limited means?

City to win obviously- what sort of question is that?

It was meant to give fans travelling from interstate time to book travel and accommodation

Bayern vs All Stars was organised, but we couldn't come up with the funds to get them here in time so now they are doing a fan hub thing with 5 a side games and some other drivel.

**** I wish Adelaide had won so the GF was half empty, just to show these idiots how bad they actually are at their jobs.

Danny Townsend the Pirate said in the interview when the Sydney GF was announced that there was meant to be a week-long event-filled extravaganza leading into the Grand Final which was meant to encourage interstate fans to come. He said that there has been events in the past that has brought fans to the region that were in the works late last year - the only thing I can think of was this meant at least one high-profile friendly. It looks like there will be nothing, and it looks like it is yet another unfulfilled promise (or lie) from Pirate Danny & the FA.

In the same interview he also promised that the "Home" team in the GF would be given all of the home allowances and active support areas - which is again an unfulfilled promise (or lie), as CCM Active have been given the safe standing areas.
    OK

What fool decided to put the grand final on in Sydney at the same time as state or origin? No press coverage, no week of events, ticket give-aways (that will suit the coasties) and complete disinterest from the Sydney public.

    Real men of genius

Probably the person tasked with paying the bills.

They took one look at the overwhelming majority of successful sporting events and decided to try the same. They smartly took advantage of a panicked state government and fleeced them.

Instead of having a sook if everyone supported the idea it would mean a much brighter future for the game than the status quo.

The idea was right, execution was wrong.

    Both things can be true.

Not "sooking" or arguing with the idea. My observation is poor timing and poor promotion.

Yes to be clear not calling you a sook.

But the carry on by certain fan sections has been uneducated and embarrassing to say the least. But when you storm fields and throw sand buckets at people over the venue of a sporting even you are dealing with a special kind of ****wit.
