i think this formula, is comical.
that a 4th positioned team in NL1, @ 20 points behind 1st , could be promoted to NPL.
not sure what crack northern is smoking, and where in the universe such absurd bullshit is being conducted. ( besides NNSW F)

i would rather top 2 up, and bottom 2 down , why is 3rd and 4th in the equation?

Spot on W8 the whole thing is driven by a staff member who came from a far better and more competitive league than this where second tier teams were much better

it's embarrassing, that a team 20 points behind 1st, jags 3 wins and straight into npl.
its pretty simple , 1 team goes up, 1 team goes down.. the rest is garbage, nonsense and another shit stain on football in region.

interesting to see what happens in ZPL, apparent meeting of the top few teams, rejecting going up.
if this happens, watch Lakes contest the rules of relegation.

Was South Melbourne playing for a promotion spot in A-league? If the answer is yes, then yes they should be promoted.

That's a big If, it's not going to happen for a few years.

What happens though has already been highlighted, play-offs will still go ahead but it will be last in NPL taking the spot not second last.

I suppose keen is different to accepting that if they win they will be going up, same with Dudley.

To go from NL1 to NPL you need juniors. Suns and Dudley I think would finish in the top 4. So with no finals or not eligible to go to NPL what would either club be playing for in NL1

Way around the no juniors issue for lower tiered clubs and potential promotion would be a permanent decouple...if you don't have PYLB so what 🤷 it's only a reduction in the clubs own revenue opportunities
