I just think it is impressive a club like the Croudace Bay Crabs (nee Hamilton Azzurri) with a wage bill of zero could beat a team full of paid players (Croatia) to the top of the table last season

Croatia will get a reality check in Zone league 1 next season.
First may hold their own, lower grades will struggle from what I have seen.

Very true in the short term Taffy, but a club with an approach like that - well it doesn't always go well in the long term.
I recall a club back in the late 80's that came along all guns blazing, but fell over and folded like a dud for 30 odd years. Similar approach to what you?re suggesting. All piss and wind at the end of the day.

I don?t know what you have seen, but reserves will hold there own aswell, 3rds on the other hand, we will have to just wait and see how they go.
