I once received a Yellow card from a Kurri club ref. It was quite hilarious the Kurri players were verbally abusing him, I informed him that he has the ability to discipline them if they keep abusing him.
It was at this time he seemed It appropriate to discipline me with a Yellow card, you literally can't write comedy better than that.

It's been beyond dangerous playing at Kurri with the club ref's that club has supplied over the last few years.

Like I said everyone is entitled to their opinion. I can only comment on what I seen. And like I said Kurri received cards as well on this occasion. And from
all accounts two Kurri players have been sent off by a club referee this year

You can?t really blame a club ref for sending two people off for punching and kicking someone though. At the end of the day it?s the last league to have referees appointed and the club referees are doing the job to best of their ability. I have seen it go both ways. Some favour their team and others are really hard on them. However I think as soon as a club referee is appointed people automatically think it?s biased and one sided but take no accountability of their own actions.

Rutherford FC have announced they will enter a squad in zl3 next year, good to see.

Any other clubs entering the league?

    Firsts 4-3 ducks
Doggies went in 3-0 into the half and sadly did not hold onto it.
Special mention to the ducks first graders cussing out the club ref (according to some Barnsley first graders) the match commissioner there was complimentary of the Club Ref but apparently (hearsay) the ducks didn?t. (Yes I am just sad about a losing streak)
in other words sore loser. Expect nothing less from the Barnyard hickjaws. yeeeehaaawww

The forum is a place to post scores and match reports. The comments about the club Referee and Merewether simply aren't accurate. The club referee did an exceptionally good job and was complimented on his game afterwards.

Maybe next time don't rely on hearsay. Your comments are simply trying to take the focus on a Great Merewether comeback. I certainly didn't hear any complaining afterwards. Let's stick to the football and events that happened.

    Big weekend ahead
    Kurri v Garden Suburbs
Should be a cracker, I'm tipping Kurri to get the job done. Home advantage for Kurri is massive.

    Barnsley v Nelson Bay
I think Nelson Bay will get the job done.

Overall thinking Kurri could go all the way and win the competition. Very impressive against us (merewether) the other week.

I think for mine the competition faired out pretty close to what I expected. I thought Lambton were the team to beat and that proved the case. Barnsley finished higher then expected, Well done to them.

Greta were the team that finished 3 or so places lower then I expected. 3rd last season and 8th this year.

Reserves, Nelson Bay team to beat again this year. Greta could be the surprise packet, depending on which players qualified.

Merewether will give their best Sunday against Bellbird. See how we go.

Kurri all the way to win competition? Good call, Lost 2 games and gone. Does Barnsley count as a choke? Weren't they coming 1st at some stake?

Kurri probably weren't used to having refs appointed for home games.

    Hahahahahahaha.

Almost promoted just missing out on goal difference and then out in straight sets.

Sounds like a finals choke to me.

Yep, I got that one wrong. Well I will try one more prediction.
Nelson Bay to beat lambton this weekend. Nelson Bay are in good form. Lambton conceded 6 last weekend, going to need a big effort to bounce back.

Lambton have played 4 finals in last 2 seasons and lost them all. A big win over southern lakes in last round and a spare week in the first round of the finals weren't great preparation for tougher games in the finals.

Well done on the promotion but I feel there will be some major disappointment for the jaffas.

Word is Lake Macquarie City punted it's Zone League 3 squad for next year.

Pretty poor, I know results were poor last year, but young squad which had decent numbers. Especially to punt them by email, that's not very professional for a club that has been very vocal lately on becoming more professional.

Not surprising to hear though from that club

Lakes have been poor for some time on and off the field so no surprise.
